My sister and I love to read, and we are always discussing the various forms of literature that exist, both within and beyond the spoken word. We have a deep appreciation for the literary and artistic works of writers who have gone before us, and we think this is a worthy cause.
One of the main reasons we’ve always been interested in writing is because we have a lot of fun with it.
In our day to day lives, we often feel as though we are just talking to ourselves, but we are so much more. We know many people who read and read and read and read, but its a completely different thing. Because we are so much more, we can take a moment to think about the impact we have on others when we read. It can be a very positive or negative experience.
This is why we spend so much time on social media. Because we have a ton of friends who talk openly about their writing, our blogs, our personal pages, etc. It’s like we are the first people that other people have ever met who are also writers or bloggers or whatever! So we can ask, “What does it feel like to know that I have friends who are writers?” and each person will answer, of course, with a different answer.
For example, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched my sister and her husband (both in my family) talk about the things they do in their (very private) lives and I’ve said, “Oh yeah, we have friends who are writers and we talk about their writing all the time.” I mean, I like to think that most of us have those sorts of friends, but it can be hard to tell.
We all have friends who are writers and that’s okay, but you have to acknowledge that there are others who do it for a living. Yes, that could be a problem. We all like to think that we have those sorts of friends, and we could be wrong, but that’s how it appears to us.
I think I know what you mean. We all have friends who are writers. Whether its books, blogs, or just talk, we have all sorts of friends who write. I mean, I don’t think its a bad thing, but its a very personal thing.
The problem with a lot of people writing is, if you don’t know your audience you cant know what they want, or what they need. It’s a different beast than writing for an audience we have a relationship with. We can’t just write about topics we find interesting, we need to understand who they are and what makes them tick.
I think this is true of people as well. I know a lot of people who love to write. I think it’s because they love the craft and the art. But that’s because they love it not because they are good at it. I know people who love writing but have absolutely no clue how to write. So they write, write, write, but they don’t know how.
I know a few people who are good at writing, and many of them write well. I think this is due to a mixture of good writing skills and a deep love for the craft. But I think that’s rare. Most people who write well (and I mean writing well and not just good writing) can’t seem to find a way to express themselves with the same level of eloquence that they used to. I think this is what makes writing difficult.
